Liquidity of UK 2 Britannia?

How liquid is the 1998- 2 Britannia in your locale? Do you see them for sale much? I don't see them in my local (Indianapolis) coin shops, though there's demand for them on eBay.

They're my favorite silver bullion coin by far, but I worry I'm too heavy on them especially since their liquidity seems to be an issue in my local market.

Thanks..

My local dealer doesn't carry anything but US numismatics, or silver rounds. He does carry a boatload of those stupid sports, i.e. nascar, silver rounds for crazy prices. Last time he had three 1/10 ounce gold maples, I bought all three. I go in two weeks later and ask him if he has any gold maples and he proceeds to tell me about the three that he had that some guy bought (me) and that he doesn't get those very often. I've asked about australian, british, chinese coins and he just shrugs. I guess all that "commemorative" crap must sell pretty good for him to ignore everything else. Most of the "interesting" stuff I've found on ebay.

I never see Britania's in my area. I guess because they sell for so high over spot that not many people think they will sell maybe.

USA - I see very few Britannias'. Dealers who have them who regularly offer world modern bullion coins and know what they are, charge a hefty premium. Dealers who occasionally get them who don't particularly deal in world modern bullion coins sell them at a premium similar to Eagles and Maple Leafs.

IMO Britannias are beautiful coins.

Thanks for the responses.

goldminer - I love when people don't realize there's a premium on Britannias.
Snatch those up my friend.

Oh, and who has a 1997 proof 1oz Britannia? How much do you want for it? ;)
